The dept of education started its journey from 2008. It offers M.A. and Ph.D course in education. The compulsory papers offered by the department are philosophical foundation of education, Psychological foundation of education, Sociological foundation of Education, Comparative Education, Methodology of Educational Research, Educational Technology, Educational Management, Curriculum Studies, Pedagogical Analysis and Practical. The special papers are Guidance and Counselling, Teacher Education, Special Education Educational measurement and evaluation. Various special lectures were held in which eminent personalities were present. Two State level Seminars and one international level seminar were organized enriched by the presence of well-known national and international educationists. Co- curricular activities like fresher’s welcome, Observance of Teachers day and Autumn Festival, Fare-well ceremony of the outgoing students. Departmental picnic, intra-departmental games etc.are also organized by the Department.
